One of my favourite things to do around the holiday season is to make cookies! While my parents are partial to my peppermint chocolate chip cookies, my absolute favourite Christmas cookies has always been cut-out cookies.
Is there anything better than a girls day?
Recently, I had the opportunity to head to one of my favourite places on Earth (because y’know, I’ve been to Mars) for a little R&R with some of my best blogger pals, Steph and Cathy… I’m talking about Ste Anne’s Spa!
Located in Grafton, Ontario, Ste Anne’s is just a little over an hour drive from Toronto, making it a great spot for a day trip. If you are looking for a longer getaway, you can also stay overnight. It’s hard to not be instantly relaxed once you step foot on the grounds. There is something about this place that is truly magical.

If you live in Durham Region or the GTA and haven’t visited Bistro ’67 yet, you’re seriously missing out. This post is long over-due, I’ve been a few times with my blogger pals, and I’ve always been completely blown away. It’s definitely one of my favourite local gems.
Bistro ’67 is a local restaurant that is re-defining the term “eat local” through their field to fork philosophy, and is actually a part of Durham College’s Whitby campus, the W. Galen Weston Centre for Food as a teaching inspired restaurant.
I recently had the incredible opportunity to go on a girls getaway for three days with some fellow bloggers. For all you gluten-free folk out there, you know how scary traveling can be because of one minor detail: will you be able to eat anything without dying?
During our getaway I did not go hungry once. Not only was everywhere super accommodating with my allergy, but the food was also kinda ah-mazing. One thing that I really loved about the food here was that almost every place we ate was committed to using local ingredients as much as possible. How great is that?
