DIY Valentine’s wine glasses with the Cricut Maker

February 5, 2019

DIY Valentine’s wine glasses with the Cricut Maker

Roses are red, violets are blue… I don’t know about you guys, but I’m that person who has themed wine glasses for every holiday/time of year. I’m also that person that collects tacky city wine glasses when I travel.

Valentine’s Day was however one holiday that was missing from my collection, so I decided to make my own using my Cricut maker. (I’m on a roll with these Valentine’s themed crafts!)

In general, I’d have to say that glassware (specifically wine glasses) are one of my favourite things to create when it comes to Cricut crafts. I just love how quick and easy they are and how a little bit of adhesive vinyl can transform a glass.

Wear your heart on your sleeve: easy 3-step DIY elbow patch sweater

February 3, 2019

Wear your heart on your sleeve: easy 3-step DIY elbow patch sweater

Can you believe it’s already February? Time sure does fly! As much as I hate wither (which we’ve established many times already), I love February for two reasons: it’s my birthday month (yay!) and Valentine’s Day.

If you know me, you might be laughing at the last reason because to be completely honest I am not a very romantic person and we don’t really do too much for Valentines. So you’re probably wondering why I love it now, right? Well, it’s because of everything pink, red and all of the cute shapes like hearts and the delicious candy. (Side note: Conversation hearts are my favourite and if you follow me on Twitter you’ll know I’m absolutely beside myself that there aren’t any this year.) I’ve also always thought of Valentine’s as a day to celebrate everyone who you love; not just your partner, but your friends, family and pets too.

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day (or Galentine’s), I’m back with another super simple 3-step DIY that I did using my Cricut Maker – a heart elbow patch sweater!

DIY holiday paper crackers (free template!)

December 2, 2018

DIY holiday paper crackers (free template!)

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m one of those crazy people that picks a different “theme” every year during the holiday season – for everything from my decor, right down to our Christmas wrapping paper. Maybe it’s the designer/branding specialist in me, but I just love when there is one cohesive theme for everything. (Yeah, I know, I’m a little extra).

Sometimes it can be really hard to find certain things that match your whole theme. Last year  I chatted a little bit about this when I shared my DIY gift tags. I will never go back to just using store-bought tags! This year, I thought I would take a stab at making my own holiday crackers with my Cricut Maker out of some of the wrapping paper I’m using this year so they can match everything too and I thought I would share it with you. ‘Tis the season for holiday DIYs after all!

Another great thing about making your own holiday crackers is getting to choose what you put inside of it. You can write your own jokes, put in tea, candy, lip chap, little accessories, literally anything you can think of! Overall, I think they turned out pretty good.

DIY laundry bag with the Cricut Maker and the EasyPress 2

November 27, 2018

DIY laundry bag with the Cricut Maker and the EasyPress 2

I’m back with another Cricut DIY! This time using my brand new Cricut Maker machine! When I got my new machine, I also received the EasyPress 2, so naturally the first DIY with my new machine had to be an iron-on craft so I could try out the EasyPress.

If you are reading this and have no idea what a Cricut machine is, I would encourage you to go and check out  my last post for to learn all about what these machines can do. (Coles note’s version: it’s a personal cutting machine that can cut a wide-range of materials.)

Let me start off by saying I love the EasyPress.
