Spring Trends: Florals and Frills

April 8, 2018

I am so ready for spring you guys!

It’s one of my favourite seasons. I love spring fashion: pastels, floral prints and frilled details – I am here for it! We had a couple of weeks of warmer weather here, so I was able to get some wear out of my new items for spring before the second winter hit (seriously, it’s a thing), which has just made me even more eager for spring to actually get here.

I feel like a lot of brands/stores have been killing it this year with their spring collections too, I’m also loving this year’s spring trends. Dynamite, Suzy Shier, Stella & Dot and Zara have been been among my favourite stores to shop at for spring this year.

(Blouse: Suzy Shier, Clutch: Stella & Dot, Earrings: Stella & Dot, Jeans: Zara, Watch: Michael Kors, Shoes: Globo)

This clutch from Stella & Dot has to be one of my favourite items that I’ve picked up so far for spring. I know, I know, florals in spring is super original, but I’ve always loved this trend. The clutch is actually a 4-in-1 versatile purse, so if you aren’t feeling the flowers one day you can mix it up! It comes with a removable strap and then you can also remove the floral accent piece for a more casual look. You can even attach the floral piece to the strap of the purse for extra padding when you wear it with the strap.

I’m also loving the statement sleeve trend and I am so happy that it is sticking around for another season. Seriously, how cute are these sleeves on this blouse I picked up from Suzy Shier?! This blouse honestly might be my new favourite. I really love the embroidered detailing on the sleeve, somehow even though it is a statement sleeve there is still something so delicate about it.

I’ve also really been digging light-wash jeans for spring. I actually have never really been a ‘jeans’ kind of gal but I think that was mainly because I hate jean shopping and always had a hard time with until I tried Zara’s pants.

What are some of your favourite spring trends this year?

Fun fact, @batistecanada was the first dry shampoo Fun fact, @batistecanada was the first dry shampoo I ever tried. (Gifted)

I've been an avid dry shampoo user for years. I have really fine/straight hair and it helps with adding some volume back to my hair inbetween washes, without making it feel greasy like styling products do.

I recently got the #BatisteWonderWoman edition to try through @chickadvisor, and it smells SO good that I just had to share! #gotitfree
Picked up this tea tree relief serum by @iUNIK_off Picked up this tea tree relief serum by @iUNIK_official from @sukoshimart last month and I've been loving it!

If you're prone to blemishes and want something soothing and brightening, you’ll like it. 13/10 would buy again. 🌿
