‘Tis the season for giving… and for dry skin! I don’t know about you, but winter always wrecks havoc on my temperamental skin.
I have combination skin that is sensitive and can be acne prone. A lot of skin products give me rashes or cause my breakouts to get worse. I struggle with this more in the winter because my skin gets so dry and when I use moisturizer I’ll break out.
This was why I was so excited when Trueskin.ca offered to help a girl out and send me and one of my readers a skincare kit!
I wasn’t sure what product would be best for my skin, so I sent them an email with my concerns and skin type. The kit they recommend for me was the Diego Dalla Palma purifying, combination to oil skin ACN kit. I’ve heard good things about Diego Dalla Palma products before and have seen it at some spas, so I was excited to finally try it out.
The kit came with three different products; a deep cleansing gel, pore perfecting serum and an anti-blemish pen/spot treatment. The description says that it will normalize your skin, reduce expanded pores and smoothe out skin defects.
First impressions:
First impressions:Shipping: I was really impressed by how fast my package arrived. It arrived in under a week! I remember thinking that it was just as fast as Amazon’s shipping.
Packaging: I’m a bit of a design nerd, so I really loved the simplicity of the packing. They also included some small samples of some of the other products from the Diego Dalla Plama line which was a nice and unexpected surprise.
Product size: I will admit, I was a little hesitant due to the size of the box. I thought for sure that the box was going to be filled with paper and the products were going to be a little smaller than I expected. (I suck at metric measurements so something like 500 ml means nothing to me.) This was not the case – this kit definitely has the full-sized products.
The products haven’t irritated my skin at all and I have noticed a difference in my skin since adding these products into my skincare routine. I have been using the cleansing gel from the kit at night and then my charcoal bar in the morning. I haven’t had to use the anti-blemish pen much yet because I haven’t had as many break-outs! (Knock-on-wood.)
