PURITO is one of my favourite skincare brands (their unscented cica serum is my absolute favourite serum), so naturally I was really excited to have the opportunity to try out and review the Dermide Relief Barrier moisturizer!
If you’re not familiar with PURITO, they are a Korean skincare brand that prides itself in creating eco-friendly formulations that are 100% cruelty-free, vegan and hypoallergenic while staying in an affordable price range and using natural ingredients. The brand is focused on sustainability, and also donates a portion of their profits to the KFEM (Korean Federation For Enviromental Movement. The brand name “PURITO” comes from the compound word formed from the words “purify” and “土(a Chinese character meaning “soil”.
The Dermide Relief Barrier moisturizer is a skin-relieving moisturizer formulated with five different types of ceramides (5,000ppm) to help reduce redness and improves weakened skin barriers. It’s also formulated with skin-replenishing ingredients like allantoin and squalane, to deliver comfort while maintaining its protective barrier function.
Key features:
- Formulated with 5 different types of ceramides, allatoin and squalane
- Calms and moisturizes, while strengthening the skin barrier
- Vegan and cruelty-free
- Essential oil, PEG, silicon and fragrance free
I was immediately impressed by how much product you get – this bottle is HUGE and you get so much product for around $20 USD. I found it to be lightweight compared to typical ceramides creams, which I loved because it didn’t completely clog my pores and gave me good moisture.
I did get 2-3 small blemishes in my t-zone, but nothing major. This is also normal for me, especially during the summer months as I tend to be more oily in those areas. I can easily see myself using this product regularly as part of my nighttime routine during the winter when my skin tends to be more on the dry side.
One thing I also really loved about this product is how it’s sensitive skin friendly. It’s formulated without any essential oils or fragrance, and is PEG and silicone free.
Bonus points: the entire bottle and packaging is recyclable. As mentioned, PURITO is a sustainability focused brand. The bottle is made with post-consumer recycled materials (PCR), which are reprocessed plastics. Reprocessing of existing plastic materials can reduce the amount of energy and fossil fuel used per unit of production, and help protect the environment from excessive pollution and waste of resources.
Once again, PURITO didn’t disappoint. Overall, I really enjoyed using this product and will likely use it as part of my regular skincare routine this winter.
You can purchase PURITO’s products on Stylevana, YesStyle, or if you’re in Canada at Sukoshi Mart ($5 off through this link).
