One of my favourite things to do around the holiday season is to make cookies! While my parents are partial to my peppermint chocolate chip cookies, my absolute favourite Christmas cookies has always been cut-out cookies.
Ever since I renovated my bathroom i have been itching to give my bedroom a makeover as well. There wasn’t anything really wrong with my bedroom, I just kind of felt like I had outgrown it and it wasn’t really “me” anymore.
The last time I had updated was when I was 19 – need I say more? It was full of bright vibrant colours and mixed patterns. Think Kate Spade meets bohemian.
I actually had only just begun thinking about redoing it, and therefor was in no rush to update it… but that all changed the second I walked in my local Urban Barn store. I fell in love with their current collection. From faux fur pillows, to heavy knit blankets and duvet covers, it was cozy-vibes all around and everything was calling my name.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: fall is my favourite time of year. I seriously hate having to dress for the weather like in the summer and winter. Fall is the perfect season – it’s not too hot, and not too cold. I also love wearing layers, fashion hats and fall clothes is perfect for this.
I’ve always loved hats. I don’t wear them too often because if I’m being perfectly honest I have a small head. Like, it’s child size. I’m not kidding. It’s usually a bit easier for me to find hats in the summer, because a lot of the straw hats have those adjustable strings on the inside. When it comes to fall fashion, I’ve always felt a little limited in my hat choices.
You’d also think that someone with a small head would be okay with most baseball caps – well not this kid! I often can’t adjust baseball caps small enough, and when I do there is always so much excess fabric from the strap. When I found this cap from Tobi, I was thrilled because you’re able to hide the extra fabric from the strap through a grommet that goes to into the liner of the hat.
For a gal with a small head, this was the best thing ever.
Guys, it’s my favourite time of year – sweater weather is officially here!
Sweater dresses have to be one of my favourite things about fall fashion. They are so cozy, comfy and cute! As some one who is almost always cold, I pretty much live in sweater dresses in the fall and winter. (I style them with tights or leggings in the colder months!) Needless to say, they are a great transitional piece.
I just love a good sweater dress.
In today’s post, I’m sharing this super cozy oversized sweater dress I found at Tobi.
