At the start of the month I had the amazing opportunity to appear on a local talk show, Daytime Durham! I had so much fun, and it was a huge honour to kick off the show’s blogger week. While on the show I discussed blogging, shared some tips & tricks and had the opportunity to demonstrate a recipe as well! The recipe I chose to share was an oldie but a goodie, my gluten free mozza cheese sticks.
Lemon & Carrot Cupcakes for Spring
Happy Monday and belated Easter! I spent the weekend baking these treats for my family Easter dinner at my Grandmother’s. I love Easter because it always gets me so excited for spring.. Mother nature had different plans though, and it actually started to snow in the middle of our Easter dinner. I suppose I can’t complain too much though because I do remember there still being snow on Mother’s Day last year! Man, what a drag that was.

10 Adorable Easter Themed DIYs
With Easter just around the corner I thought I would round up some of my favourite DIYs from across the internet! I’ve always found easter decorations to be especially fun. Lush’s Easter collection kills me every year. Maybe it’s because I’m usually just so ready for spring and over winter at that point. Good old Canada, am I right?
Why Unfancy Is My New Favourite Blog
I found my new favourite blog. It’s become that for two reasons. The first, the name and branding of it are on point. The second, the content and the whole idea behind Unfancy is just brilliant. I’ve seen various concepts and plans for controlling your wardrobe before, but the majority of them honestly seemed like too much effort and unrealistic. I randomly came across Caroline’s blog recently, and her method of the capsule wardrobe seems actually do-able. The more I read about it and dug into the archives I knew I could do this too and make it work for me.
Way more often then I’d like to admit I spend several minutes in the night before, and then again in morning thinking about what I’m going to wear. Heaven forbid if I have a special event – in that case I’ll be thinking about it for days and sometimes weeks at a time and then still struggle the day of. I would sometimes go through 3-4 outfits until I was happy, or ended up wearing the the same thing I wore last week out of frustration.
National Waffle Day: Turkey Waffle Sandwich
Happy national waffle day! Who doesn’t love a good waffle? Seriously. I originally came up with this idea for last week’s Gastropost’s mission, which was to re-invent the way a food item was traditionally eaten. I have had waffle sandwiches before, and knew how delicious they could be but I have to admit even I was blown away by the end result of this one.
My Bathroom Mini-Renovation with Para Paints
I’m so excited to finally reveal the end result of my bathroom reno! If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll know that this has been something that has been slowly but surely happening for quite a while. I know, this post is really image heavy (sorry not sorry). But I love my new bathroom.
It’s been fully decorated for maybe about a month or two now (I know, bad blogger here) and it just makes me so happy every day. I’m thrilled with how it turned out and am so glad I waited until I had every little detail bought and planned out before I actually put it all together.
