My 5 favourite Toronto fall activities

October 17, 2018

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – fall is my favourite time of year! I can’t believe that it is almost already over. I’m hoping to make the best of what is left of the season, so I thought I would quickly share some of my favourite fall activities with you in case you’re in the same boat as me.

1. Visit the pumpkin patch

If you live in the Toronto area, there are tons of different pumpkin patches and farmers markets you can take advantage of this season. Visiting a pumpkin patch is the one activity I need to do each fall. From sipping hot apple cider, going on wagon rides, to picking your own pumpkins and testing your skills at a corn maze – I love it all!

2. Go apple picking

Nothing beats picking your own apples, am I right? Luckily, Toronto has lots of apple orchards too!

3. Get spooked

Watching horror movies is one of my favourite things to do during the spooky-season. If you’re looking to get a little more scared and get out of the house, try checking out Halloween Haunt at Canada’s Wonderland or another haunted attraction in the area.

4. Enjoy the colours of fall (and maybe snap a few Instagram photos)

From conservation areas, to local parks and botanical gardens, there are tons of places to go during the fall to enjoy the leaves changing colours. My personal favourite for this kind of activity has always been trecking out to smaller towns and country roads, but there are lots of options closer to the city, too.

5. Eat pumpkin spice everything

What would any list about fall activities be without pumpkin recipes? Generally pumpkin tends to be a love or hate thing with most people, and I’m one of those girls that love it! From grilled pumpkin, to cupcakes and pumpkin spice lattes. If you’re like me and love anything pumpkin related, here are some recipes to help!

I had content planned to post sooner (like this photo as I’m sure you can clearly tell by the Christmas decorations 😅), but life happened and I ended up taking a break from Instagram for the rest of my holidays which honestly was really nice.

This week was my first week back to work, so I’m looking forward to spending some quality time with my pjs and Ruffi again this weekend.

’Tis the season for ugly Christmas sweaters! 🎄🎄🎄

This one has been a favourite of mine for a few years now. It might be time for me to get a new one to keep things fresh… or should I say ‘pine' fresh. See what I did there? Ok, I’ll see myself out. 🙈 #uglychristmassweater #christmas2020
