Some of you may know already that I am now a part of an amazing little project called Hey, Pass The Cake! Hey, Pass The Cake is essentially a lifestyle editorial website that is put together by a wide range of bloggers. The main focus of the site is to provide real, relatable advice with a slice of humour that you can actually use. It’s written for the sometimes overworked, underpaid but always fabulous 20-30 something year old struggling to figure things out, by 20-30 year olds. I’m so excited to be a part of this project!
Recently, Hey, Pass The Cake! celebrated a soft launch – I say soft launch because we have some wicked things planned for a full blown official launch, but wanted to start building readership and have some content prior to the main event. As far as my roles with the site, I’ve been dubbed the Creative Director, Social Media Strategist and Food Editor. I will be writing a weekly column (and occasionally outside of that) called “SOS, There’s A Kitchen In My Apartment!” which is a foodie column for the non-kitchen savvy. It will feature tips, tricks, recipes, kitchen hacks and horror stories to help make your time in the kitchen a little easier and less stressful. My first post is already up – you can read it here.
Currently there is also an open call for contributors! We’re looking for beauty, lifestyle and culture bloggers at the moment, so if you fit the bill and know what being broke and fabulous is like then email heypassthecake@gmail.com with your info! Now because I have to; Disclaimer: Hey, Pass The Cake! is a publication is non-profit and put together by volunteers and therefor all contributors are not paid.
(Hey, we are broke and fabulous after all!)
