Favourite Summer Beauty Products

July 29, 2015

I realize that these posts are totally over done, but I love these kinds of posts so I’m doing it anyway. Take that, Internet. I honestly do love them because it’s such a fantastic way to find out about new and old products you haven’t used before and I’m always looking to spice things up a bit when it comes to my regular makeup/beauty product routine… not to mention the fact that there is just soooo many products out there!

I have quite a few different make-up and skin routines (they vary from the lazy versions and the non-lazy-versions) and change season to season. Today I thought I would share some of my staple beauty products for the summer!

    1. Tea Tree Water Toner by Lush

I love this stuff so much. I always have problems with my skin in the summer because of the heat. My face just gets so sticky so quickly. This stuff really helps with controlling my breakouts, to the point where if I forget to use it… well it isn’t pretty.

    1. Pink Pearl Pop lipstick by Mac

I am obsessed with this colour for summer. It is so bright, bubbly and fun! I’ve always thought of it as one of those pinks that is flattering on every skin tone. I always get compliments when I wear it.

    1. Lemon Lip Balm with SPF by EOS

EOS lip balms are always my favourite, in the summer I exclusively use the lemon drop one because it comes with the added bonus of SPF 15, because yes, your lips burn too. And I burn freakishly easy. Plus it has the added bonus of smelling absolutely amazing!

    1. Essie Nail Polish in Blanc

Usually I’m all about bright, blinding nail colours during the summer. But this season I keep coming back to white. I’ve been wearing it consistently on my toes all summer. I love how it goes with everything and is bright – white nails definitely stand out. I tend to switch my finger nails to a colour but then go back to white the next week. I’m loving the look of white nails for summer!

    1. All Nighter Setting Spray by Urban Decay

This. Stuff. Is. My. HERO. It is always my go-to for when I need my makeup to last all day, I’m going to be outside in the heat, if I’m going to a wedding or dancing the night away. It keeps everything in place even through the sweatiest days – it’s magic.

    1. Coralista Blush by Benefit Cosmetics

As much as I love my NARS blushes, this one will forever be my go-to for the summer. It has just the right amount of shine and is a gorgeous, bright coral colour that is perfect for the hot weather and glowy-cheeks. It’s sheer enough you can make it subtle or layer it for more of an impact.

    1. GinZing Eye Cream by Origins

I have bags. Like, bad. And of course they just get worse in the summer because hey, it’s summer and I want to do all of the things and often sacrifice sleep in order to do so. I have never used an eye cream that works as amazing as this one does. For the love of the make-up gods, go pick up a sample of this if you don’t believe me. It’s like an expresso shot for your eyes. Amaze-eye-balls. (See what I did there?)

And there you have it! Do you have any summer beauty go-to’s? I’d love to hear about them so I can try some new ones out – if you’ve done a post before feel free to link it in the comments for me to read! Hope everyone is having a fabulous summer so far!

I had content planned to post sooner (like this photo as I’m sure you can clearly tell by the Christmas decorations 😅), but life happened and I ended up taking a break from Instagram for the rest of my holidays which honestly was really nice.

This week was my first week back to work, so I’m looking forward to spending some quality time with my pjs and Ruffi again this weekend.

’Tis the season for ugly Christmas sweaters! 🎄🎄🎄

This one has been a favourite of mine for a few years now. It might be time for me to get a new one to keep things fresh… or should I say ‘pine' fresh. See what I did there? Ok, I’ll see myself out. 🙈 #uglychristmassweater #christmas2020
