I recently had a chance to try out some products from a fairly new skincare brand, Efilow, and I instantly fell in love. The two products I tried were the Artichoke Biome Ampoule and Mindfulness Calming Sheet Mask.
Efilow is a Korean skincare brand, and their name means ‘slow life, slow beauty’. The brand believes that the secret of achieving true beauty lies in slow beauty, which is reflected in the product design and packaging. As someone who worked in branding early on in my career, I really appreciated the simplicity and yet detailed packaging and brand. The packaging feels simple, thoughtful and luxurious. Everything about this brand is just stunning.
Artichoke biome Ampoule
This Ampoule is incredibly calming, repairs UV-damage and is great for sensitive skin. It has a thick, viscous consistency but is non-sticky and is formulated with centella asiatica extract, aka CICA, aka my favourite skincare ingredient, which helps calm, soothe and protect the skin. It’s also contains hyaluronic acid, to moisturize, fig extract which helps strengthen the skin barrier and repair your skin, and vegan probiotics. Of course, it also contains artichoke as the main ingredient and really is the star of the show here.
Did you know that artichoke is often considered a magical ingredient in skincare? It can help with dark spots, dullness, acne and even UV-damage. It’s packed full of super rich anti-oxidants, collagen and vitamin C.

Mindfullness Calming Sheet mask
This sheet mask is designed to sooth and comfort stress skin. It’s mild, and formulated with sensitive skin friendly ingredients like botanical plant extracts, tea tree, lotus and vegan probiotics.
The tea tree helps balance oil production, while providing moisture to the skin. Lotus leaf extract helps to protect and purify, and the vegan probiotics help strengthen the skin barrier. This sheet mask had a beautiful, mild natural sent and my sensitive skin really loved it. The actual sheet mask is made from certified vegan PT-Cell sheet, with excellent moisture retention ability. There was a good amount of essence as well, and I was able to get another sheet mask out of the leftovers using one of my disposable compressed travel sheet masks. The outer packaging is also eco-friendly biodegradable. I really enjoyed this sheet mask – it calmed my skin, and mind.
