Crafting on the go made easy with the Cricut EasyPress Tote

March 19, 2019

It’s no secret that crafternoons are one my all-time favourite weekend activities, especially ones where you add some wine and cheese, good music or a movie and your friends and turn it into a girls day – what’s not to love?! It’s one of my favourite ways to spend my Sunday afternoons.

I have quite a few friends who are Cricut-crafters as well, so we will pack up all of our machines, pick one person’s house to hang out at and watch some movies all while crafting the afternoon away. The only downside to having a girls craft day is finding creative solutions to transport your craft supplies.

Luckily, the folks over at Cricut heard our cries and came out something that has quickly become my favourite Cricut related accessory and that will surely make your crafting girls day a little, well, easier. (Pun totally intended, sorry not sorry.)

For those of you who have been reading my blog or following me on social media for a while now, you’re probably more than aware of my love for iron-on projects using the Cricut machine and it’s partner in crime, the EasyPress 2 (Cricut.com / Amazon.ca).

Drumroll please… it’s the brand new EasyPress Tote!

It comes in 3 different sizes, so no matter what size EasyPress machine you have there is one for you. (Even if you have the original EasyPress!) Here’s how the sizes stack up:

  • Small Tote: fits the 6 x 7″ EasyPress 2
  • Medium Tote: for the 9 x 9″ EasyPress 2
  • Large Tote: fits both the original EasyPress, 9 x 9″ and 12 x 10″ EasyPress 2.

All three sizes will fit both the EasyPress machine, Safety Base, mat and also have room for other small tools or crafting supplies. There’s a large pocket on the back of each tote, as well as a front pocket.

One feature that I really liked was the velcro straps that secure your EasyPress in place once inside the tote so that it won’t slide around and get damaged.

In terms of materials, the tote is just gorgeous. I really love the small pops of red and the faux leather accents. The tote is nicely padded and the fabric is also heat-resistant, so you only need to wait 5 minutes after turning your EasyPress machine off before you can pack it up.

Each tote also features an adjustable shoulder strap, or a natural grip handle.

Aside from these babies making it so much easier to travel with my Cricut EasyPress and supplies for our crafting girls day, the EasyPress Totes really make storing my press a lot easier. The totes are also great for protecting your EasyPress when it’s not in use – they help prevent dust from building up on it!

I mostly use the 9 x 9″ tote when it comes to everyday storage of my EasyPress 2 at home, but when I’m traveling with my Cricut I’ll sometimes opt to take the large tote instead based on the craft we’re doing and how many supplies I need to bring. The nice thing about the Large Tote, (aside from the fact that it works with three different EasyPress sizes) is that since I have a 9 x 9″ EasyPress I can still use the large tote with and I get some extra space for craft supplies, rolls of iron-on materials and various tools.

I also just think that the totes are visually just really nice. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if I end up using mine for something non-Cricut or craft related things at some point. The quality of these bags is really amazing.

In the end, I really do love how the EasyPress Tote makes crafting on the go but even if you don’t travel with your Cricut and EasyPress often, you can still get use out of them when it comes to storing your EasyPress and keeping it protected.

Happy crafting!

Fun fact, @batistecanada was the first dry shampoo Fun fact, @batistecanada was the first dry shampoo I ever tried. (Gifted)

I've been an avid dry shampoo user for years. I have really fine/straight hair and it helps with adding some volume back to my hair inbetween washes, without making it feel greasy like styling products do.

I recently got the #BatisteWonderWoman edition to try through @chickadvisor, and it smells SO good that I just had to share! #gotitfree
