My favourite fall/winter fashion item: blankets

November 22, 2018

My favourite fall/winter fashion item: blankets

I don’t know about you guys, but we have been blessed with amazing Fall weather here in Toronto this year. We’re now in the second week of November and we haven’t had any snow yet! (I probably just jinxed it – sorry guys.)

I’m pretty happy about that for a couple of reasons: 1) I’m the worst Canadian and absolutely hate the snow, and 2) I’ve been so busy I felt like I barely got to do any of my favourite fall activities this year so the weather has me feeling like I have a second chance at fall before the Canadian winter settles in.

Fall/winter trends: 5 ways to wear leopard print

Leopard print has always been one of my favourite trends for fall – and it’s back in full-force this year.

It is however one of those trends that can be really intimidating for a lot of people. This was something that a few of my blogger friends and I were chatting about, so we decided to team up and each show a different way to incorporate it into your fall wardrobe this year!

My new obsession: off the shoulder tops and white after Labour Day

My new obsession: off the shoulder tops and white after Labour Day

I honestly can’t believe that we’re already in mid-September – it seriously feels like we just started summer!

While Fall is my favourite time of year, I kind of feel like I barely made a dent in my summer wardrobe. (Seriously – my office is so cold that you pretty much dress for winter year-round!) Luckily, it’s still pretty warm here in Ontario so I’m still getting some use out of my summer items, but as you all know Canadian weather is a little unpredictable so that could change any minute.

Sun Please – Getting Ready for Summer with Optically.ca

Sun Please – Getting Ready for Summer with Optically.ca

Raise your hand if you’re ready for Summer!

We are still getting some pretty chilly days here, but for the most part spring has spring and it’s a lot more sunny around here already, which has made me eager for summer.  I can’t wait to lounge outside, hit the beach and go on some weekend getaways!

Now of course, with the warmer weather and sunshine coming my way I needed to add a few new seasonal staples to my wardrobe this year: sun hats (I’m obsessed with those typographic straw hats that are all over the internet, you bet I picked one up for myself!), dresses and of course, sunglasses! Optically.ca was kind enough to offer to send some sunnies my way to help get me ready for the season!

  • Happy #valentines day! 💖🍪
  • I wished for spring weather for my birthday, but I guess that didn’t work out 🤷‍♀️❄️
  • Confession: I actually really like Valentine’s Day 🙈. To me it’s a day to celebrate everyone I love. Friends, family and fur-babies alike, because sometimes everyone needs to be reminded they are loved and appreciated. 💖
  • Hi 👋 my name is Kait, and #IHaveThisThingWithHearts 💖. (P.S. don’t let this smile fool you... I’m over the snow and dreading the winter storm we’re apparently getting. 😩)
