One of my favourite things to do around the holiday season is to make cookies! While my parents are partial to my peppermint chocolate chip cookies, my absolute favourite Christmas cookies has always been cut-out cookies.
Ok guys, maybe I’m super lame but I love Valentine’s Day. Not because I’m a romantic, but because I love the colours, decorations and themed stuff! (Seriously, theme parties are my favourite.) I just love all the cute stuff. Or maybe it’s because my birthday is the day before, who knows.
When I was growing up that Valentine’s was always really fun and something that I always looked forward to. We were taught that Valentine’s was a day to celebrate all the people you loved — friends, family, pets, you name it! We would always make cards for everyone, some sort of themed craft and of course, cookies.
Because who doesn’t love cookies?!

It’s no secret that I love everything related to fall. (See Exhibit A and Exhibit B here.) Naturally, with it being fall, I am craving pumpkin everything and I’m on a mission to do as many fall things as I can before it’s over.
Pumpkin bread, scones, cake, ice cream, candles, I love it all! And then I thought to myself, what is the one thing I like more than pumpkin? Tea of course, and then it hit me: Pumpkin Chai Cupcakes!!!
I have to admit that I was inspired by one of my favourite teas for this particular recipe… of course I’m referring to DAVIDsTea’s Pumpkin Chai! It is seriously the perfect tea for fall and warming the soul up after a crisp, fall day. I love the mix of sweet pumpkin, cinnamon and chai spices. It’s the perfect balance and drink for fall.
Fall is my favourite time of year for a number of reasons: the weather, the colours, the clothes, and the food. Oh, the food! What is it about fall foods that makes it so comforting? Apple cider, pumpkin soup, pumpkin pie, my mom’s homemade apple sauce (speaking of which, mom if you’re reading this I wouldn’t be opposed to some appearing in the fridge!) and roasted squash.. it all just makes me feel so cozy. Right now, its apple season, so I thought that I would celebrate by sharing this delicious fall treat – stuffed baked apples.
Every fall we go to our favourite local farmer’s market, Pingle’s Farm to get all of our seasonal fruits and veggies for Thanksgiving and baking. If you’re local, they also have the most amazing fudge, a pumpkin patch, corn maze and pick your own seasonal fruit/veggies. If pick your own isn’t your thing, they also sell their produce in their market.
