One of my favourite things to do around the holiday season is to make cookies! While my parents are partial to my peppermint chocolate chip cookies, my absolute favourite Christmas cookies has always been cut-out cookies.
This post is one that is long overdue. If you follow me on Instagram, I’m sure you have noticed me posting about a Palatine Hills’ Sauvignon Blanc wine a few times over the course of the summer.
Palatine Hills is a winery located in Niagara-on-the-Lake. They have been in the winemaking business for over 40 years, and it is actually one of the area’s oldest vineyards. (Fun-fact: the winery is located on what was once one a battlefield from the War of 1812 and lots of artifacts have been discovered on its grounds!)
The wine I tried was the 2015 Sauvignon Blanc, and I loved this wine.

Last week, I had the opportunity to try out HelloFresh. If you follow me on Instagram and watched my stories you’re probably already familiar with the concept.
For those of you who don’t and aren’t familiar with them, HelloFresh is a meal subscription service. They send you 3-4 chef-curated meals based on seasonal farm fresh ingredients, delivered right to your door! It’s something that I have wanted to try for a while.
Spoiler alert: everything is quick, easy and delicious.

If you live in Durham Region or the GTA and haven’t visited Bistro ’67 yet, you’re seriously missing out. This post is long over-due, I’ve been a few times with my blogger pals, and I’ve always been completely blown away. It’s definitely one of my favourite local gems.
Bistro ’67 is a local restaurant that is re-defining the term “eat local” through their field to fork philosophy, and is actually a part of Durham College’s Whitby campus, the W. Galen Weston Centre for Food as a teaching inspired restaurant.
