Bright boots – Fall 2020 trends

October 18, 2020

As you all know, one of the many reasons why Fall is my favourite season is because of the fashion. Give me a cozy knit, ankle boots and a cute hat and I’m a happy girl.

One of the reasons why it is my favourite is because I love to layer clothes and accessories – but being a Ontarian, once the winter hits you can’t even see your outfit when you’re out and about because you need to cover up to protect yourself from the harsh Canadian winter. The weather in our Fall months are perfect for layering and cozy sweaters without needing a heavy coat.

With everything that is going on right now with the pandemic, I’m not going out as much as I normally would. We’re trying to stay home as much as possible, but that didn’t stop me from picking up a few new fall pieces. (Gotta look good on those Zoom calls!).

For the most part, I do wear Smash & Tess rompers or leggings and sweaters most of the time these days. When I do go out though, I like to take the extra time to dress up – it makes leaving the house a little more fun and less scary somehow.

Outfit details:

  • Shoes: Globo
  • Jeans: Zara
  • Turtle neck: Dynamite Clothing
  • Poncho/blanket scarf: Ardene
  • Hat: H&M

For Fall/Winter 2020, gone are the classic brown stompers. Instead, runways were flooded with bright-coloured, statement boots this year, which is a trend I can definitely get behind. (You all know me – I love a good statement piece!)

One of my favourite fall items this year are these cute burgundy ankle boots from Globo. I love how they can add a dramatic pop of colour to any outfit and really elevate your overall look. The shape of the boot is really flattering too – they look great with everything from my jeans, to my leggings and even dress up my Smash & Tess rompers nicely for a cute comfy-chic look.

What do you think, is this a trend that you can get yourself behind?

I had content planned to post sooner (like this photo as I’m sure you can clearly tell by the Christmas decorations 😅), but life happened and I ended up taking a break from Instagram for the rest of my holidays which honestly was really nice.

This week was my first week back to work, so I’m looking forward to spending some quality time with my pjs and Ruffi again this weekend.

’Tis the season for ugly Christmas sweaters! 🎄🎄🎄

This one has been a favourite of mine for a few years now. It might be time for me to get a new one to keep things fresh… or should I say ‘pine' fresh. See what I did there? Ok, I’ll see myself out. 🙈 #uglychristmassweater #christmas2020
