Be mine: cozy pom-pom feminine sweater for Valentine’s Day

February 10, 2020

Confession: I actually really like Valentine’s Day.

I’ve always looked at is as a day to celebrate everyone I love – friends, family and fur-babies alike! Because honestly, sometimes everyone needs to be reminded they are loved and appreciated, am I right?!

Call me basic, but I also love Valentine’s for all of the themed stuff. Everything is pink (aka my favourite colour), heart shaped and filled with feminine touches. And of course, you can’t forget the candy!

Conversation hearts are among my favourite. So much so, that last year when they weren’t available in Canada I had some of my American friends buy them and ship them to me! It was expensive, but totally worth it.

Boots: UGG, Jeans: ZARA, Sweater: Chicwish (sold-out, similar linked), Earrings: Stella & Dot

Since there’s only a few more days until Valentine’s, I wanted to share a cute and cozy look with you in case you’re looking for some inspiration for a casual Valentine’s outfit inspiration!

Personally, as much as I love Valentine’s I would much rather have a cozy night in on Valentine’s night and do something in the day instead, even if it’s the day after. Everything is always just so busy on actual Valentine’s and with my birthday being the day before it can be hard for me to distinguish the two days so I like to separate them a bit.

With that said, this is a great look for either a casual night in or a low key day-date!

I feel like you can never go wrong with anything red, pink, white and anything with hearts or other delicate details on it when it comes to Valentine’s fashion, like this cream pom-pom sweater that I picked up last year from Chicwish. I just love how something so simple like pom-poms can completely change the feel of a regular knit sweater into something cute and flirty. Plus, it’s super warm and comfy.

Since we just got a ton of snow, I opted to pair this outfit with my pink fluffy UGG Adirondack winter boots and my favourite light-wash jeans from ZARA.

It’s a little hard to tell with some of the photos, but the hoop earrings that I’m wearing as well are actually heart shaped for a little more festive fun.

Happy (almost) Valentine’s Day, friends!

I had content planned to post sooner (like this photo as I’m sure you can clearly tell by the Christmas decorations 😅), but life happened and I ended up taking a break from Instagram for the rest of my holidays which honestly was really nice.

This week was my first week back to work, so I’m looking forward to spending some quality time with my pjs and Ruffi again this weekend.

’Tis the season for ugly Christmas sweaters! 🎄🎄🎄

This one has been a favourite of mine for a few years now. It might be time for me to get a new one to keep things fresh… or should I say ‘pine' fresh. See what I did there? Ok, I’ll see myself out. 🙈 #uglychristmassweater #christmas2020
