Aide Bodycare: DIY Organic Bath Salt Bar

May 12, 2016

You’ve heard me ramble on about Aide Bodycare many, many times before… enough to know that there never really will be a ‘last time’ ;). On my last visit to Michelle’s shop, she had a new feature that had me really excited: a DIY Bath Soak Bar.

We all know I love a good bath and DIY. So naturally, I was pretty stoked.

The Bar comes is loaded with epson and himalayan salts, tons of essential oils you can mix and play with, botanicals (I’m a big fan of the dried roses), oatmeal and more.

I’ve always been a huge fan of her pain relief muscle soak bath salts for a while now, and my love for it only grew after I broke my foot and royally messed up my leg (it still swells randomly and gives me trouble some times!) so I was pretty excited when she told me that all the ingredients were included in the bar. I opted to add some organic oatmeal to it to help soften my skin (I love a good oatmeal bath) and some dried rose petals because, well, they smelled fricken amazing.

Disclaimer: this is was the best bath I’ve ever had. Seriously.

It was sooo relaxing, had a light scent of roses, peppermint and eucalyptus and did wonders for my skin and muscles/pain. And I won’t lie, there is something so satisfactory about the fact that I made it. (Okay, with Aide Bodycare’s specially treated ingredients, but still, I mixed it all up real good with that wooden stick!)

The best part? It’s $10.
Not kidding.

For those of you who aren’t local, you can still shop her entire collection of soap, skincare and bath products online at her website or her Etsy store!

(P.S. I’m totally taking her Soap Workshop next weekend and I am so excited!!!)

I had content planned to post sooner (like this photo as I’m sure you can clearly tell by the Christmas decorations 😅), but life happened and I ended up taking a break from Instagram for the rest of my holidays which honestly was really nice.

This week was my first week back to work, so I’m looking forward to spending some quality time with my pjs and Ruffi again this weekend.

’Tis the season for ugly Christmas sweaters! 🎄🎄🎄

This one has been a favourite of mine for a few years now. It might be time for me to get a new one to keep things fresh… or should I say ‘pine' fresh. See what I did there? Ok, I’ll see myself out. 🙈 #uglychristmassweater #christmas2020
