Hello, my name is Kait and I have an addiction to sheet masks. At any given time, you can find my bathroom cupboard stocked with 10-20 sheet masks – no joke.
Over the years I’ve tried so many different brands and types of sheet masks that I thought I would do some round-up posts with some of my all-time favourite sheet masks along with a mini review and why I love them.
As a reminder, since everyone’s skin is different what works for me might not work for you. For reference, my skin type is as follows:
- Combination skin – leans more towards oily during the warmer months
- Sensitive skin – sensitive to touch, heavy fragrances and some ingredients
- Acne prone, primarily on my chin and the odd breakout on my t-zone

1. COSRX – Pure Fit Cica Calming True Sheet Mask
Type: Essence and water
Purpose: Soothing and calming
Time: 15-20 minutes
COSRX is one of my favourite skincare lines, so it’s actually a little surprising that it took me so long to try out one of their sheet masks. My only regret is that I didn’t take the plunge sooner! Their Cica Calming sheet mask as become a must-have item for me and now I always make sure that I have a couple of them on-hand. This has quickly become one of my favourite go-to masks for when I start to get breakouts and my skin is feeling irritated.
This mask is formulated with 7-CICI complex, (which means it’s infused with 7 centella ingredients), to help calm sensitive skin and aids in soothing, moisturizing and strengthening skin for a healthier and more resilient complexion. It also helps to reduce scare pigmentation.
For me, I feel like this mask does everything it claims to do. My skin looks amazing after I use it and unlike other sheet masks I find the effects last a few days.
2. Innisfree – My Real Squeeze Rice Sheet Mask
Type: Cream
Purpose: Nourishing and calming
Time: 10-20 minutes
I love Innisfree’s products to the point where I have a hard time walking out of their store and without spending $100 each visit. Although there are lots of sheet masks from them that I love, the rice sheet masks is probably my favourite one.
This sheet mask is a creamy type. I can sometimes run into problems with creamy sheet masks since I have combination skin that tends to lean more on the oily side, but I haven’t had any problems with this sheet mask being over-moisturizing or causing breakouts even during the warmer months.
Rice is known for being soothing and calming for the skin. It helps to even out dry and dull skin and also helps to achieve that clear, transparent, moisturized glass skin appearance without looking too oily or moisturized.
3. Holika Holika – Pure Essence Pearl Sheet Mask
Type: Essence
Purpose: Brightening and moisturizing
Time: 10-20 minutes
Pearl sheet masks are one of my favourite types of sheet masks when it comes to brightening your overall complexion and leaving your skin looking fresh with a healthy glow. Of all the ones that are out there, Holika Holika’s pearl sheet mask is one of my front-runners as my list of favourite pearl masks.
The fragrance is nice and light, I don’t find it overpowering at all. (Personally for me I tend to not like products with heavy fragrance as they can irritate my sensitive skin.) This mask is smoothing and leaves your skin with a flawless, radiant glow immediately after use. Best of all, this mask doesn’t leave any sticky-residue behind.
Bonus points: there’s tons of essence in this mask. I like to save the package and use the remaining essence by patting it onto my skin the next night or later in the week.
4. TONYMOLY – I’m Real Seaweed Sheet Mask
Type: Essence
Purpose: Purifying
Time: 20-30 minutes
The TONYMOLY I’m Real sheet mask line is one of my all time favourites. I’ve yet to meet a mask in this collection that I don’t love, but if I had to pick one favourite it’s hands-down the seaweed sheet mask. Seaweed tends to works wonders for my skin. This mask works to make your skin look brighter, more radiant and helps to clear out your pores and soothe irritated skin. I notice a difference in any irritation or spots on my skin almost immediately after using this mask.
One thing that is a little different about this mask compared to others is the length of time you’re supposed to leave it on. Most sheet masks you leave on for 10-20 minutes, but this one it instructs you to leave on for 20-30 minutes. That might be a hassle for some people if you’re in a rush, but personally I love the extra time it takes. I like to use this mask at night so for me it’s extra relaxing.
The scent of this mask is really subtle and I don’t find it to have a stick residue at all. It’s very refreshing feeling. It’s another one of my go-to masks when my skin is feeling irritated.
5. MEDIHEAL – D:NA Proatin Sheet Mask
Type: Cream
Purpose: Nourishing and Hydrating
Time: 10-15 minutes
MEDIHEAL is the owner of one of Korea’s top sheet-mask lines. The D:NA mask in particular is often referred to as Korea’s number 1 sheet mask – and for good reason.
This mask is incredibly rich – it’s soaked in a creamy serum and will seriously up your skin’s hydration level. It’s packed with nourishing ingredients like jojoba oil and is free of parabens, sulfates, mineral oil and silicone. After using this mask your skin will be soft and supple with a youthful glow. It also prevents moisture loss by aiding in creating a skin barrier.
This mask is one of my favourites during the winter months when I start to notice more dry patches on my skin. The one I have pictured here is from their collaboration boxset that they did with BTS, but you can find this sheet mask among their regular line as well.
And there you have it! Those are 5 of my favourite sheet masks right now. Although I’ve tried lots of brands and masks out there, I’m always looking for new ones to try so feel free to leave a comment or shoot me a message with your recommendations or some of your favourite sheet masks that you think I should try.
