I’m so excited to finally share my bathroom reveal with you guys! If you follow me on Instagram, you know that this has been no small renovation. To be entirely honest, I kind of lost track of how long the whole process took.
A few years ago, I did a mini-bathroom reno, which mainly consisted of a fresh coat of paint and new decor item – basically the entire “reno” was purely cosmetics, where as this time we completely gutted the bathroom: walls, ceiling, new insulation, floors, a new fan system, you name it.
It was a really fun process. I knew going into my bathroom renovation that I wanted to keep the same wall colour, which is “flapper fringe” by PARA paints (more on that later). I originally chose this colour by drawing inspiration from my birthstone, the Amethyst. When it came to choosing the other decor elements of my bathroom’s design, I found inspiration in the littlest details: old perfume bottles from my grandmother, antique mason jars, images of french country-chic cottages on Pinterest. Because all of these little details were sentimental to me, I really wanted to keep them when moving into this renovation.
